This natural pool, integrated into a sports club in Swietochlowice near Katowice, was the first pool with biological water treatment technology in Poland. In cooperation with the local architect Artur Hepek from Visart, we were allowed to contribute our know-how and plan the biological water treatment technology.

The water treatment

A Neptune filter along with a combination of submerged and hydrobotanic filters were installed. A neptune filter is an irrigation filter which sprinkles water on a bed of gravel. The impure water then passes through the gravel and pure water is drained back to the pool through the bottom of this filter. The micro-organisms present at the roots of the plants in the hydrobotanic filter help to eliminate the harmful bacteria like the E.coliThe compact manhole shafts and the compact pumps made it possible to deliver the shafts from Germany to Poland. These were fully equipped and were made ready-to-install into the pipelines on the site. We also supervised the construction of the biological water technology section on site and commissioned the plant. Since 2014, the bath is now intensively used gladly even in winter for ice bathing.
