The limiting amount of total phosphorus (TP) of the effluent was 100 μg/l. The task was to reduce costs on one hand and on the other, to keep it as simple as possible. Polyplan created a flow and TP model according to the local conditions. This modeling was the basis for the preliminary design for the water treatment. This computer operates at the bottom of each pool. Polyplan has developed a biological water treatment scheme to keep the total phosphorus concentration below 100 μg/l. For the dimensions, we used a 2-box model as well as the flowing model Mike 13. The design was thus close to the guideline value of 100 μg/l. To ensure this limitation during the period of the wetland, an additional adsorber shaft is used. The adsorber could be connected to receive water just during the high water phase in the pool 5.
