The “Balneon” in Neustadt am Rübenberge has created an attractive combination of fitness, sauna and swimming in a single location. The overall management of this project was carried out by the planning office PBR. Polyplan-Kreikenbaum was responsible for the natural bathing areas of the outdoor pool and the sauna.
Nowadays, a simple water pool does not fascinates visitors. The new “Balneon” combination pool in Neustadt am Rübenberge therefore combines the different thematic areas of swimming, fitness and sauna under one roof. In total, eight different pools with a total water surface of about 1,500 m² are available for bathers.
The construction project was implemented ‘on a greenfield site’ at a completely new location. In particular, the combination of the pools with biological water treatment and conventional water treatment according to DIN 19643 with chlorine is interesting for the bathers.
Water treatment in the natural pool is carried out by two biological filters. A special feature is the year-round operation of the sauna area with special technical challenges.
On the north side, an attractive sandy beach runs shallowly into the basin. Attractions such as water slides and source stones are planned for the children.
