The Ingolstadt State Horticultural Show has made nature experience a main theme. Water plays a special role here. The created water bodies offer various possibilities to approach the theme. A landscaped lake of 8200m², a water park of over 600 m² and a water garden of 1,100m² form the contact areas that invite you to experience.

The Polyplan Kreikenbaum Group and Wasserwerkstatt had the task of planning a water treatment system for all water bodies, their hydraulic interaction and the pump control. The water should be free of chemicals such as chlorine. Thus, submerged and emerged filter systems based on natural/ biological modes of action have been created on an area of 1500m². The various attractions and filters are connected with a network of pipelines over 5900m long. The pump stations are connected with fibre optic cables and are centrally controlled by a PLC. The operational data is also automatically transferred to the DASEE quality management system via a VPN connection.
