Federal Minister of Construction Klara Geywitz gave the starting signal for the new funding round of the federal program “Redevelopment of Municipal Facilities in the Areas of Sports, Youth and Culture” on July 27, 2022. From today until the end of September, cities and municipalities throughout Germany can apply to the federal government for funding for climate-friendly refurbishment of their sports facilities, swimming pools and youth and cultural facilities. A total of €476 million is available to help municipalities reduce the backlog of renovations at these facilities.
