Technical planning of water bodies

Urban waters - The city gets closer to the river again

Watercourse rehabilitation

Take advantage of our many years of experience in the field of watercourse rehabilitation. Our team of engineers, biologists, designers and geologists work in an interdisciplinary and goal-oriented manner to develop fast and optimal solutions for you.

For the most part, watercourse rehabilitation begins in the catchment area. External nutrient balances must be influenced in such a way that enhanced trophic condition can be predicted. Procedures which are used to alter the internal matter balances in a lake are as follows: Internal and external nutrient precipitation, hypolimnetic aeration ( provided by our deep water aeration system TIBEAN, among others), deep water discharge and biomanipulation have proven successful. For this purpose, we prepare master plans as well as redevelopment concepts and take over the detailed planning. Polyplan is a specialist in the implementation of remediation measures and offers operators comprehensive assistance in accompanying watercourse management.

Urban waters

Take advantage of our expertise in the design of urban water bodies and artificial water basins. Our landscape architects and limnologists work hand in hand with well-known urban planners.

Water is increasingly becoming a fundamental building block of modern urban planning. Experiencing water, improving the micro-climate, cooling by evaporation, groundwater recharge and increasing humidity are the main arguments of modern urban planning. Whether a natural-looking artificial water body, an artificial water basin or a watercourse. Water brings a new dimension to the urban space. In this field, Polyplan carries out the object planning including water treatment from the first draft to the execution. The Internet-based DASEE platform is used to implement efficient operations monitoring anywhere in the world.
